Gator Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Trips

Gator Outdoor Adventures (GOA) specializes in delivering high quality, student-led outdoor trips to SF State Students, Faculty/Staff and Alumni. Using the outdoors as a vehicle, we work to facilitate transformative experiences that translate both back into the classroom, and beyond.

Come get outside with us!

GOA welcomes persons with disabilities and can make reasonable accommodations upon request. If you need reasonable accommodations for any of our events, please contact our programs Student Managers by email at trips@mail.sfsu.edu at least 15 days before the event.

Trip Registration

Registration for all trips typically becomes available 30 days prior to the trip and opens at 7am PST on the date of registration.  Trips do fill fast, and participants are encouraged to reach out to the programs Student managers via email at trips@mail.sfsu.edu to learn more about each trip prior to registration opening.  Trips are also categorized with an Experience and Difficulty Level to help participants better understand what to expect on trips.  A summary of trip levels can be found at the bottom of the page.

  • Beginner: No experience is necessary; this trip is open to all experience levels.

  • Intermediate: This trip will be using more outdoors skills.

  • Experienced: This trip will involve more advanced outdoor recreation skills.

  • Easy: Terrain on the trip should be manageable for all fitness levels.

  • Moderate: Terrain and the planned route would be more manageable if your fitness level is a bit higher.

  • Difficult: Terrain and the planned route on the trip is expected to be difficult for most fitness levels
