    We have incorporated universal design principles into our facility's layout, ensuring that all areas are accessible and welcoming to individuals of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Equipment for All:
    We offer a diverse range of fitness equipment to cater to various needs and preferences. Our goal is to provide options that cater to different ability levels and fitness goals.
  • Inclusive Programming:
    Our fitness classes and programs are designed to be inclusive, respecting and celebrating diversity. We regularly update our offerings to meet the diverse needs and interests of our community. Accommodations can be made when requested. 
  • Diversity and Inclusion Training:
    Our team is trained in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices to provide assistance and support to all visitors. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to approach any of our staff members.
  • Accessible and Inclusive Facility:
    • We have taken several steps to ensure our facility is accessible and welcoming to everyone:
    • Parking: Accessible parking spots are available near the Mashouf Wellness Center, ensuring ease of access for all.
    • Entrances/Exits: All entrances to our facility are wheelchair accessible and equipped with automatic doors. These entrances are open to individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.
    • Elevator: We provide an elevator to access different levels of the facility, making it easy to move between floors, regardless of your background or abilities.
    • Restrooms: Multiple all-gendered restrooms are available, with adequate space and necessary fixtures, ensuring comfort and inclusivity for all.
    • Pool Access: Our lap and recreation pools offer accessible entry points to accommodate individuals with diverse abilities.

Event Name: First Year Experience Climbing Wall Event

Event Date: August 30, 2024 (1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)

Event Activities: Rockclimbing collaboration with the First Year Experience Peer to Peer Program

Event Description: First come, first serve. Invite your mentee or mentor and join us for an unforgettable bonding experience. Whether you are climbing or providing moral support–everyone is welcome!

Event Name: Open House: Adaptive Equipment

Event Date: September 12, 2024 (1 p.m. -2 p.m.)

Event Activities: Fitness Floor & Natatorium Equipment Demo

Event Description: We will be showing what adaptive equipment options the Mashouf Wellness Center has and demonstrate how to use the equipment.

Event Name: Hispanic Heritage Month Rock Climbing Celebration

Event Date: September 18th 2024 (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

Event Activities: Rock Climbing at the MWC

Event Description: Climb with your peers and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Event Name: Low-Stim Swim

Event Date: October 3, 2024 (3 p.m. - 6 p.m.)

Event Activities:  Swim and float in the Natatorium, access to sauna.

Event Description: Relaxing, low stimulus environment for you to swim & float around in the pool with calming music and use the sauna and hot tub.

Event Name: 2SLGBTQIA+ Honour Walk

Event Date: October 11, 2024 (3 p.m. - 5 p.m.)

Event Activities: The Castro Districts Rainbow Honors Walk guided by Campus Rec.

Event Description: A Campus rec guided Rainbow Honor Walk, located in the Castro district, features bronze sidewalk plaques that honor Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer individuals who have made a significant impact in global history.

Event Name: AIR x Trans & Queer Alliance Day Hike (Lands End Loop Trial)

Event Date: October 19, 2024 (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

Event Activities: Day Hike of Lands End Loop (potential Collaboration w/ Trans & Queer Student Alliance)

Event Description: Hike the Lands End Loop Trail and strengthen bonds with the Trans & Queer Student community of SFSU!

Event Name: Men's Mental Health Month Part #1

Event Activities: Guided Yoga & Meditation

Event Description: Guided meditation, yoga, and activities for Men's Mental Health Awareness. Come to both sessions! It's a series.

Event Name: Native American Heritage Month: Lacrosse Tournament

Event Activities: Lacrosse Tournament

Event Description: We will be hosting a Lacrosse Tournament to celebrate Native American Heritage Month! Sign up solo or with your friends and we will do the rest! Teams will be organize on the day and all equipment will be provided!
