Swim Lessons
- 1 Swim Lesson, $29.00
- 4 Swim Lesson, $99.00
Whether you are a beginner, experienced, or professional, our swim instructors at SF State are trained to run a lesson tailored to any needs.
We offer lessons to those of all ages and abilities and will provide the knowledge needed from basic water safety all the way to stroke refinement.
We are here to ensure all people, no matter the experience, will feel comfortable in and around aquatic environments. Lessons are available seven day a week.
How it Works
1. Book a swim lesson through the member portal under multi-visit passes (1 lesson or 4 lesson options)
2. You will get an email from aquatics@mail.sfsu.edu informing you of what times we can offer your lesson and what you would like to improve on. Please reply to this and provide what you can.
3. Once the time and start date is set up, you will meet on the pool deck in swim wear and will be greeted by your swim instructor.
4. Please show up about 15 minutes before your first lessons so your swim instructor will have you fill out a preliminary form the first day.
Please contact us at gatoroutdoors@sfsu.edu for any questions regarding Gator-Wild.

You are able to register for trips through the Campus Recreation Member Portal
Who is allowed to participate in outdoor trips?
Students, Faculty/Staff and Alumni are allowed to register for Outdoor Trips.

Trips vary in cost depending on location and activity, but typically include all group gear, transportation and trip leaders. Overnight trips also include meals. Personal items may be rented through the Outdoor Resource Center. - at 1/2 price for all participants attending a GOA Trip. Trip costs are also subsidized for students where Faculty/Staff and Alumni pay more.
Can I drive myself for a Gator Outdoor Adventure Trip?
Participants are unable to drive themselves for a trip, as many of our trips requiring vehicle transportation go places which would make it too much of a logistical challenge. Additionally, traveling as a group is a huge part in building the culture of our community for the trip. However, there may be times when a participant may depart a trip early by signing an early release form when the mode of transportation for the trip is by use of public transportation and the trip is local.
Can I register for as many trips that I would like?
Due to the limited number of trips and heavy interest, participants are limited to registering for (1) day trip and (1) overnight trip per semester.
Can I receive a refund for a trip that I no longer can attend?
Unfortunately, all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued unless the trip is cancelled by Campus Recreation. However, if a participant requests for a cancellation, and we are able to find a replacement in a timely manner, we may be able to refund a partial portion of the registration fee.
