SF State Summer Kids Camp is a fun and engaging program designed for children ages 5-12. With a focus on creativity, exploration, and adventure, this camp provides a unique and enriching summer experience for kids. Each week, campers will engage in a range of activities and games related to the weekly theme, including arts and crafts, science experiments, outdoor adventures, and more. This year's camp features a variety of exciting weekly themes, each centered around a different topic. The themes include:
Week 1: Nature Week!
Dates: June 10 - June 14
Field Trip: Botanical Garden and Golden Gate Park.
Description: Get ready for an adventure-filled week in nature! We will explore the beautiful Flowers and Golden Gate Park, learning about different plants and animals that call this park home. We will have fun games, crafts, and activities that will teach us about the importance of nature and conservation.
Week 2: Science Week!
Dates: June 17 - June 21
Field Trip: California Academy of Sciences
Description: Science is everywhere! This week we will head to the California Academy of Sciences where we'll explore exhibits on the natural world, space, and technology. We'll also conduct experiments, learn about different scientific fields, and discover how science impacts our daily lives. It's going to be an exciting week full of discovery and learning!
Week 3: Safari Adventure Week!
Dates: June 24 - June 28
Field Trip: San Francisco Zoo
Description: Get ready for an exciting safari adventure as we head to the San Francisco Zoo. We will see all kinds of exotic animals and learn about their habitats and behaviors. Throughout the week we will have fun crafts and games inspired by our animal friends.
Week 4: Under the Sea!
Dates: July 8 - July 12
Field Trip: Aquarium of the Bay/ Pier 39
Description: Let's dive into the ocean! This week, we'll explore the wonders of the sea at the Aquarium of the Bay and Pier 39. We'll learn about different marine animals, their habitats, and conservation efforts to protect them. We'll also create our own underwater crafts, play games, and have lots of fun discovering the mysteries of the deep sea.
Week 5: Science Week!
Dates: July 15 - July 19
Field Trip: Exploratorium
Description: Science is amazing, and this week we're exploring it in a hands-on way! We will head to the Exploratorium where we will have hands-on experiences and interactive exhibits that will spark our curiosity and imagination. Week 6: Camping Week!

Field Trip: Muir Woods
